Description
The Tracker 85 is my idea of a most excellent dirt touring bar. Its based on the Junker 85 but with the crossbar removed and the sweep increased to 23 degrees. The Junker bars are my all time faves for general trail riding, but i wanted something with a slightly more relaxed position for the wrists, mainly because Why Not. These have that wonderful, completely neutral feeling that allows you to sit and pedal all day long, day after day, without a hint of arm or wrist fatigue. I have a set bolted up to my Dirt Tracker and they’re truly a splendid thing.
Constructed from 4130 cromoly and chrome plated for all-season durability, these could well be the perfect bar for the leisurely gentlemen of dirt. 22.2mm bar bore for use with BMX stems, but they’re supplied with a 31.8mm shim for regular MTB stems.
I’d class these an an ATB mountain bar rather than a full-on trail MTB bar. If you’re an aggressive rider who regularly gets massive air then i’d recommend the Junker bars over these, the crossbar does make them stronger, but for the kind of trail riding that us mere mortals do, ie riding fast and far on natural trails then these are more than capable of taking the abuse.
