Titanium 29+ frame and fork

WP_20151201_001I’ve finally got a 29+ ti Stooge built up in readiness for a trip to Swanage next weekend before it begins its trip up to bonny Scotland.  It looks fantastic and rides even better. The complete build weighs 26lbs which is great for a bike of such girth, i’m by no means a weight weenie but it feels good. The ti frames are all built to order and generally take between 8 and 10 weeks. this can be a little frustrating sometimes but it’s what allows me to even be able to offer such goodies. It also means there’s a huge scope for personalisation, from EBB or threaded BB, to top tube length and seat-tube length, mech guides or no. I’m super-impressed with the quality of the work and love the relationship i have with the framebuilder. As i write they’ll be working on the fat bike frame i’ve recently designed especially for the boys in Scotland and their inimitable winters. Regarding the plus frameset, the geometry is pretty much the same as the steel, tweaked a little to take 2 tyres of the same size into account, slightly longer stays to fit the big rubber in. It’s a little more sedate than the regular frame, feels like a genuine mile-muncher that’s also rather handy in ‘attack’ mode. So far there are only 2 of these in existence, both north of the border.
